I’ve worked as a journalist for more than 20 years, both as a writer and sub-editor on newspapers and magazines.
Articles I’ve written have been published in many regional and national titles, including Prima, Best, Take a Break, Prima Baby, Woman, Dogs Today and Cotswold Life.
I’m working on a second novel, which I hope to publish next year.
When not writing, I teach piano from my home in Gloucestershire.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. I started playing the trumpet, aged seven, then switched to the flugel horn and finally cornet, first in the Stroud-based Chalford Band and subsequently the prize-winning Flowers Band, performing in concerts and competitions all over the UK and abroad.
I also learned the piano from an early age and started teaching the instrument after gaining a music education qualification from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. I now have private pupils aged from eight to eighty.
